Elements – a night of experimental sounds. 3 artists join for an evening of creative music making and deep listening, each defying stereotypes of their instruments.
Phoebe Niamh:
Welsh musician Phoebe Niamh is an experimental harpist based in Sheffield. Surrounded by land and sea during her childhood by the North Wales coastline, Phoebe’s sonic palette draws on the influence of nature. Phoebe’s debut solo EP Serendipity is a collection of harp improvisations with electronics. Creating dreamy, pattern-based soundscapes shaped by ambient music, shoegaze and minimalism, Phoebe fuses her harp, kalimba and FX pedals to enchant live audiences and listeners. Her music has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and The Lot Radio. Phoebe’s collaborative projects include harp and cello duo meraki, inter-arts project TYWYN and improvisatory ensemble Emergence Collective.
VERA SACRA:
Sheffield-born, London-based producer VERA SACRA makes music that sits in its own world, weaving together deconstructed club sounds, surreal ambience and delicate songwriting. Over the past two years she has carved out a space in London’s experimental music scene where she is known for her intimate sets blending cello, improvisation and electronics. Influenced by artists including Kelela, Eartheater, Arca & Kelsey Lu, her sound has a quiet intensity, traversing dreamlike textures and angular production.
“With her cello as compass and liminality as muse, VERA SACRA is charting out dream pop’s most spectral new frontier.” – Babystep Magazine
Pat’s Soundhouse:
Pat Fernandez is a Filipino composer and multi-instrumentalist born in 2004. His work is mainly done in his bedroom and in solitude, outside the confines of conventional production. Pat studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland from 2022-2026, and there he discovered his biggest influences: Brian Wilson and Phil Elverum.
When Pat was a fresher, he also stumbled across a Lao/Thai mouth organ called the Khaen while scrolling on Tiktok. Hal Walker introduced him to the Khaen and Pat got his own shortly after. Pat would gain a following on instagram around June 2024 for his Khaen videos, and he has been collecting instruments from around the world since.
