Out & Down is an independent listings and ticketing site for local events, spaces and the people behind them. We provide an alternative to the increasingly noisy world of online event discovery, where genuine events can easily get lost among low-quality listings, fake events and automatically generated content.
Out & Down is a guide first, and a ticketing platform second. We actively choose what we list, with a focus on independent venues, small-scale events, pop-ups, community projects, late nights, creative gatherings, and other things that give a place its character. Our aim is to make the good stuff easier to find, whether someone has lived locally for years or has just arrived.

Out & Down supports events and spaces which are independent, locally rooted or broadly DIY in their approach; have a community, cultural or creative focus; and contribute something meaningful to the places they operate in.
The guide is curated rather than open to everything. We review events before they’re listed because we believe people should be able to trust what they find on Out & Down.

Out & Down provides simple ticketing tools for organisers and promoters, including multiple ticket types, door scanning and audience management.
Organisers retain ownership of their audience data, and ticketing is designed to support the people putting on events rather than dictate how they operate.
Unlike traditional ticketing platforms, Out & Down starts with discovery. Events are not simply uploaded into an open marketplace and left to compete for attention. They are part of a curated guide, giving organisers an opportunity to reach people who are actively looking for something to do.
Out & Down brings the guide and the ticketing together: a place for audiences to discover things worth going to, and for the people putting them on to find an audience.
